USB Logitech Camera makes sound to stop working

I use SUSE 9.2 Pro and have just bought a webcam (only for windows use). After installing it, I am not able to get the sound back working in linux, in fact, KMix shows a sound volume of -1%. I am too lazy to plug and unplug all the time, any ideas?

I have a friend with a logitech camera and terratech soundcard who has the same problem.

I just found this site http://www.isthe.com/chongo/tech/comp/pwc/rh8.0.html

The section on disabling the USB sound in the camera might be of use if your camera is one with a built in microphone.
