USB KVM weirdness [newbie!]

Hi. I'm an absolute Linux newbie- a windows application developer starting the move into OSS.

I've installed Suse 10.0 onto a AMD64 box running on an MSI RS480M2 motherboard. I have the machine hooked up to an IOGEAR GCS1734 USB KVM switch. Suse installed perfectly, the only issue I am having is that it is not recognizing the keyboard and mouse input (and audio as well, but that is no biggie) from the KVM. VGA works fine. When I plug the USB mouse and USB keyboard directly into the (onboard) USB inputs on the machine, they work fine, so....

I imagine there is some sort of config or missing driver issue here. IOGEAR tech support isn't much help. Any ideas? --kevin

It may be the iogear. I bought one of those from MicroCenter with the hopes of being able to use it on all OSes, however, I was immediately dissapointed as it doesn't even work with Windows 2000, it froze up 3 computers after boot running Windows 2k. I tried it on my Linux box at the time, and it flatout wouldn't boot. So it may be a falt out hardware conflict, as the iogears are not so hot, IMO.
So I took it back and got a Belkin 2 port Auto KVM, and instantly all of those Windows 2000 computers would run just fine, my linux box is running with it now, constantly, and it works with Windows 98, something I hadn't even tried before.
