USB Keyboard not working
Dear LQ visitors:

I recently bought a Genius US Keyboard (which has some nice CD control extra buttons, plus some email, favorites and navigation). When I start RedHat 9, I receive a Kudzu message telling me that "unkown" device was found.

When I enter X-Windows (KDE) I see the following info in the Hardware Browser:

--System Devices
Manufacturer: unkown
Driver: keybdev

How can I know if a "generic" usb module? is loading in the startup?
I do see a "USB mouse [ok]" and "USB Keyboard [ok]" during startup (as a matter of fact I have a USB mouse which functions correctly)

Any help will be appreciated since it's not nice to have two keyboards, one which only works in Windo$$$

I receive the following error when my computer starts

USB Device not accepting new address=3
Error 110

Any ideas?

I went to that site and I can't see anything about USB Keyboards.

Any tips on this error:

USB Device not accepting new address=3
Error 110

xbaez: take a few moments to scroll through that entire site page. it has more information on a lot of devices and applications, system adminstration, programming and others. sections 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. all expandable. scroll scroll that site. wonder where my answers from? that,s right , right there! I am a newbie too.
