USB key encryption

Folks,

I once read an article about how to implement and use USB keys that are encrypted, but I don't find this article. Now I have to move back and forth some proprietary files from work to home and I'd like to do that using an encrypted USB key. Could you suggest links explaining how to encrypt and use USB keys in this way ?
The USB keys are plain run-of-the-mill 512 MB or 1 GB data storage keys without any extra features.

Thanks !

dm-crypt is a very secure and versatile mechanism for securing partitions or whole drives. The following is a good article to get you started: http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=04/06/07/2036205

I believe there's a newer/simpler version of cryptsetup available out there as well.
