USB HUB: Intel Rate Matching Hub issues

Hi Everyone,

I have couple of issues with the Intel RMH hubs.

1) May i know What is the difference between the below two RMH hubs?
Is there any difference b/w these two while configuring the hub and the hub ports?

8087 Intel Corp.
0024 Integrated Rate Matching Hub (My diagnostic code works fine in my local PC which has this hub)
0020 Integrated Rate Matching Hub (Same Code doesn't work for this hub which is in some other pc)

2) After the BIOS boot, am trying to enumerate the hub and the devices which are connected to the hub ports. I have following issues.
  • Hub descriptor shows wrong no. of ports. Very few times it shows the correct results.
  • Hub cannot enable power to the hub ports.
Do i have to suspect BIOS for the above problems?
Could you please suggest what could went wrong.. Thanks for the help..

Regards,
Nagi
