usb HD config problems (Lacie Databank)

Hi

Just bought a Lacie Databank:

hotplugged it, did: modprobe usb-storage, and mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/lacie

And it worked ok! Huzzah!

However i'd like it to be mounted when I start up but i'm not really sure what to put in /etc/modules.conf...

I know I need to load scsi_mod first (as the usb-storage driver is actually a scsi interface layer) and then usb-storage, and I want something to mount it in /etc/fstab, any idea how to go about it? Would the hotplug scripts interfere with doing this?

An explanation of what the aliases in /etc/modules.conf mean would also be V helpful - theres lots of alias char-major-nnn and tty stuff going on here that i'm not sure about.

Cheers
MC

If the device is recognized by the hotplug system then all it will do is try to find a matching module for it, it the device is not recognized then you can most likely change that
this link http://linux-hotplug.sourceforge.net/ and
"man modules.conf" and "man fstab" are very detailed, they should guide you.
