usb HD config problems (Lacie Databank)
Hi
Just bought a Lacie Databank:
hotplugged it, did: modprobe usb-storage, and mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/lacie
And it worked ok! Huzzah!
However i'd like it to be mounted when I start up but i'm not really sure what to put in /etc/modules.conf...
I know I need to load scsi_mod first (as the usb-storage driver is actually a scsi interface layer) and then usb-storage, and I want something to mount it in /etc/fstab, any idea how to go about it? Would the hotplug scripts interfere with doing this?
An explanation of what the aliases in /etc/modules.conf mean would also be V helpful - theres lots of alias char-major-nnn and tty stuff going on here that i'm not sure about.
Cheers
MC
