USB floppy drive in SuSE 9.1 Pro

Hi all. I've got a USB floppy drive for my laptop, which I can't seem to get SuSE to recognise. Ideally I'd like the thing to be automatically detected when I plug it in It's also possible it already is being detected, and I'm just looking in the wrong place
It works fine in Windows so I know it isn't a hardware fault. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Okey first try this;
Code:
mount /dev/sda /mnt/floppy
If it fails, try mounting /dev/sdb, or sdc, till it says the device does not exists.
If there is no error, the floppy should be mounted in /mnt/floppy, were you will see the content of the floppy.
Go this info from http://www.ifrance.com/hecnar/usbfloppy.html . Read it!
