Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

USB dongle and VMware

I will have RHEL6 and a USB license dongle in a VMware environment. I need to put the dongles on a device like a Digi Anywhere USB. But that only has drivers for Windows. What can I put the USB dongle on (like Anywhere USB) so that's it's seen over the network so VMware can fail to another host?

Or is there another method like sharing out the port from one system to others over the network?
