USB devices not working well
Just got myself a new HP Probook laptop, installed KDE Neon Plasma, the latest stable version, it seems OK, but two problems:
1) When it goes to sleep, the external Bluetooth mouse, can't wake it up, I must use the touch pad to do it.
2) At times(not always) a USB connected device, needs to be mounted, it doesn't mount automatically and at times, fails to mount even when trying manually.
Any hints?
Cheers

Only one subject per thread please.
One particular USB device, or any USB device? Do all USB ports similarly misbehave? Are you always sure when removing that the umount process is complete prior to physical removal? Often, writing to USB completes only long after the UI gets you believing it was already done. When in doubt, use df in Konsole to check if still mounted. When improperly removed, attempts to remount can be impeded or blocked.

Can't help with the bluetooth mouse but with regard to the USB devices, are you talking about a flash drive or an external hard drive of some type connected via USB? Drives should not be mounted automatically, very bad idea but on the Ubuntu type systems (Neon) the drives are generally available under /media/username. Is this how you are trying to access the partition/filesystem on the drive? If so, what happens when you do that? When you mount manually, what are the results exactly? Do you see any messages? When you use the device, do you safely remove or unmount it before removing it?

Many thanks guys,
The problem was a faulty USB multi port splitter. All works OK now with either a USB flash or Hard disk
Cheers
