Question USB audio adapter known to work well on Ubuntu?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a USB audio adapter to put on a Dell PowerEdge server I'm using as an Ubuntu workstation. Is anyone using one that they can vouch for in terms of easy Ubuntu driver compatibility?

Thanks!
Kevin

Don't all distributions have the same drivers? When the volume control of my built-in stopped working, I bought the cheapest USB audio adaptor (56 cents, shipped from China!) and it's worked for years.
