USB Audigy 2

Has anyone got any experience in getting the Soundblater Audigy 2 external USB version working in Linux? I've just bought one and am wondering if I can get it working when I get it. I know the emu10k1 drivers work for the PCI version but I'm not sure about the USB one.

I have the same problem. I managed to hear something, but the quality is very bad and kmix cannot configure all channels. I think I need a special driver, but emu101k1 is probably only for the pci model. Did you find a solution ?? Thanx

Not working yet, collection information on my homepage

Hi,
I bought one, too. It's not really working yet.
I am collecting information to get it working on my homepage, http://nix.bockb.de
Please watch out for more information there or tell me if you found something usefull that's not on the page yet.

I found out, that you have to use the newest alsa versions (1.0.3). with alsaconf I am only able to configure my internal soundcard. But alsamixer recognizes the usb audigy nx2 and I can configure the speaker volume. with mplayer everything but the rear speakers work with good quality. with xmms theres I problem, I think it has to do with the sampling rate. Because I had the same problem with kde soundtest, there i put the sampling rate to 48000 kHz and everything works well - but not surround. kmixer crashes when I want to start it. I will try to get a newer version of kmix....
