USB 3.0 Card Reader Problems

Dear all,

I have a bus powered USB 3.0 card reader. It seems to be a bit unreliable. I use it to transfer video from large memory cards but when I plug the cards into it sometimes the drive just appears and then disappears repeatedly. It works better off a powered hub, but its still not perfect. I have tried it on two computers both with Opensuse 13.2.

Has anyone had the same issue, did getting a better card reader help? The cards are all 128GB CF and SD cards. I guess they are exFat, could that be the problem? I haven't tried it in a windows machine yet. I will do.

Cheers,
Phil
