USB 2.0 external HD in SUSE10
 

Hi,

I've just ditched Debian for SUSE 10. SUSE is great and seems much more suitable for my needs so far.

I am interested to know how I can get my USB Hard Drive to appear in 'my computer' rather than having to trawl through the file system to dev/whatever..

The drive works ok with SUSE but I want to be able to access it more easily.

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

it's been a while since i've used kde, (the default for suse) but if i remember correctly just right click on the desktop, select configure, then there is a behavior section, in that click device icons and select all of the ones you would like to show up (specify for mounted or unmounted) then click ok. that should do it.
