Usb 2.0 card install on puppylinux?

Hello there,

I'm a new here, but i am familiar with linux. On my Dell latitude
I have puppy linux. Now my usb slot is broken, so I had to get
an Usb card. I found one: usb 2.0 card, conceptronic. It comes
whit a software cd if you have windows 98. But when you have
XP you dont need to install software. Puppy doesnt regornise
this card, not with or without usb stick in it. Does somebody
knows the answer to this problem?

Run 'lspci' to see the chipset to find out if it is supported, it probably is, but it seems Puppy isn't loading the proper module and you need to load it manually. I would expect it to work with the ehci_hcd module, but you never know with hardware intended for Windows.

Thank you. I was impatient, so I installed Debian. This works.
But I ll try puppy from a live cd, and try your solution, because
I like puppy better
