How about using some vowels? If you take the time to type out a readable message, we'd be happy to help. And how about some info on what your hardware is, whether it was working before, and so on.

WHat sound card do you have? Post the output of "uname -r" in a console. We also need "lsmod". And, if you're using Red Hat non-enterprise Linux 5, that's ancient! So does it work on Fedora?

There may be. Try "uname -r" (output should be 2.6.something) and "lsmod | grep snd " (should return quite a few things). Then do alsaconf.

sasqpodalian - please note that everyone here at LQ is a volunteer, and is donating his/her free time to try to help others. I understand that from your perspective, solving the problem is important, but as acid_kewpie mentioned, the issue is not "URGENT" to anyone else. In the future, please provide more information about your hardware and the specific details related to the problem you are trying to solve. Thanks
Edit: Redhat 5 is *very*, *very* old, and you might benefit from using a more modern distro. Are you actually talking about RHEL 5?
