Upgrading Processor


Im going to be upgrading my processor, my question is do I have to reload linux?

And also would I have to reload xp?

Not as long as you are keeping the same architecture. If you are going from say P3 to P4, or P3 to AMD, you should be fine. Your kernel is probably setup to work fine with x86 architecture (assuming that's what you are running) so as long as you are drastically changing things you should be fine. It'll detect the new speed and everything should be fine.
