Upgrading Nvidia video cards??

I have a GeForce4 Ti4400 installed in my system that is dual boot WinXP Pro and SuSE 8.2. I have the Nvidia drivers installed and 3d accelleration working just fine. I have a GeForce FX 5600 card that I want to put in. Since they both look like they will use the same drivers, can I just swap out the cards or should I un-install the Nvidia drivers and re-install them once the new card is detected??

Am I making this harder than it is??

Moving to Linux - Hardware

You **should** simply be able to switch em up, no problems in Linux. But be sure to get a little comfy with the command line, and boot into runlevel 3 as a precaution for the first boot afterwards.

Cool

When booting, and I get to the GRUB screen where I select Windows, Linux etc, can I type a command into that screen to boot into run level 3??
