unpluging USB IOMEGA Zip 250

I've spent the last day looking for an answer to this problem. GOOGLE doesn't seem to help,

When I unplug my IOMEGA Zip 250 (after unmounting and ejecting the disk) I get the following error messages in /var/log/messages:

Quote:

Mar 12 11:52:18 amethyst kernel: sda: Write Protect is off
Mar 12 11:52:18 amethyst kernel: sda: assuming drive cache: write through
As you can see, this repeates every one to four seconds. It stops as soon as I plug the drive back in.

What is causing this error and how can I fix it?

What O/S is this and what kernel are you on (uname -a)?

What does /etc/fstab say?

I'm running Fedora Core 3 with kernel 2.6.10-1.770_FC3

No idea about the fstab entry. I've done a complete reinstall since I first posted this.
