Unable to read and write on GSM Module


I am working on SIMCOM GSM module. I am trying to execute AT command in this module. But, I am unable access this module.

toradex_apalis6q:/ # cat /dev/ttyUSB3 &

[1] 1079

/system/bin/sh: cat: /dev/ttyUSB3: Try again

It's not clear (to me) what you're trying to do.

I'm pretty sure that the cat command is not going to work on /dev/anything. cat is for concatenating or displaying files

Why are you running the command in background?
