Unable to install Fedora on SATA drive

I have a friend who has an Abit VT7 motherboard ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...=BROWSE&depa=0 ). We are unable to find drivers for linux so that we can install Fedora. Does anyone know where drivers can be found or if another way to install exists? He was able to install windows XP using drivers from Abit but fedora is not finding the drive. He had some drivers on a floppy that came with it for
1. silicon 3112
2. silicon 3114
3. intel
4. via
but they were all for windows 2000/XP.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
