Unable to get linksys wusb100 on ubuntu 9.10 using live cd. Please assist

As stated in an earlier post, I attempted to see if my linksys wusb100 adapter would work out of the box using linux 9.10. I currently have ubuntu 8.04 and have not gotten it to work on 8.04 either. Someone, please assist. Thanks.

Please provide instruction and neccessary driver please. I am new to linux and would appreciate any help.
