That is incorrect. AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux are downstream RHEL clones.

CentOS Stream is essentially a marketing term given to RHEL beta.

Alma and Rocky were both created explicitly to replace the original CentOS, after Red Hat took it over, created CentOS Stream, then shut down original CentOS.
