Angry Unable to boot after install of Mandrake 9

hi all

Need some assistance please.

I have just installed the i586 iso of mandrake 9 on an old server, a dual pentium pro 200, 512mb ram with onboard scsi (pr440fx mobo) with 2 x 4gb scsi drives and a 2gb drive the install went fine although I did have to use a boot floppy. However after the install is complete the system does not find any bootable media. I have checked everything I can think of such as scsi card settings and even repartioned the disks again but nothing seems to help. I could do with a few sugestions.

Cheers

Update:

Just reinstalled using the expert options and still no luck howver I did create a custum bootdisk and booting with this works fine ??
I am thinking there is a config issue with the scsi card somehow??

Hi
I also loaded MDK 9 on a Dual Pentium Pro Server. Mine was fitted with onboard SCSI and a Riad card. MDK kept insisting that my Raid 'drive' was the boot media. When I forced the install to look for the onboard SCSI I managed to boot. So perhaps your problem is similar try changing the LILO option from the default in the install.

Good luck

Cheers for that was getting to think along those lines myself as I just noticed that the bootdisk loads sda1 whereas the install set lilo as sda so off to do another install as it wont let me change the boot point inside mandrake, say it would destroy the filesystem ? will advis of outcome.
