Ubuntu Skype Camera
 
hi guys, where to download webcam driver for macbook (mac1.1). that can be used on skype?
The web cam is built in.
thanks for any ideas.

I doubt that Apple's site would have a Linux driver.

This is a Linux question, right?

yup, this is a linux question? i had tried sudo apt-get install cheese but to no avail..so i'm hoping that someone can give a link where to download a driver or any workaround for this..thanks..

What specifically are you having problems with? Please provide more information - what exactly you're trying to do, what doesn't work (including error messages, if applicable), hardware information about the device (you'll probably find an entry for the camera if you run "lsusb"), etc.

The way the question is about a Mac, was posted from Windows, and the first reply suggested Apple's site made me think that this might not be a Linux question.

Find it...

Use the command "lsusb" to find the camera by maker and model code, then google using that to find out if and how the webcam is supported in linux. It will look something like this: "046d:0825", the notation for a Logitech C270.
