Hmmm, you need to give more details mate. What fails? Do you get an error message? Which version of Ubuntu are you using? What graphics card do you have?
Well, the link you posted is a broken link, so I am not surprised it fails (and yes, I've removed the "but" at the end). If you are using a recent version of Ubuntu, you should be able to install the drivers simply by going into "
System >> Administration >> Restricted Drivers Manager" and enabling the Nvidia driver. I can't say this will work with every Nvidia card (since I don't know which one you have, I can't say if its supported either) or with older versions of Ubuntu (can't remember if this was available since the beginning, but it definitely works with 8.04)
