Ubu Natty display drivers wonky for dualhead with multi-signons

If I install the NVIDIA driver for my GT 240 chipset, will my dualhead display setup stop working or require a lot of tinkering?

I'm using the ASUS ENGT240/DI/1GD3/A GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP ready video card on the Ubu Natty 11.04 os.

The nice randr tool works great. My left monitor is portrait and my right monitor is landscape. (btw: where is the config file it uses? I want to set some numbers precisely.) Is the new randr tool Xinerama like I used before it.

UNFORTUNATELY, if I try a dual login (I use several logins for various purposes, one for each customer, etc.) my display becomes unusable checkerboard soup. But if I log out and log in to the other customer login, everything's fine.

So I think I need a better driver....but is the nvidia driver better?
