Hello.

I'm using the dual AMD MP Tyan motherboard: 2466 MPX.
The board can handle upto 4GBs of ram, or so the manual says.
I currently have 2 sticks of unregistered 512MB in slots 1 and 2.
I was thinking of adding another stick but the manual says that only registered DDR Ram can go into slots 3 and 4. It also says I can't mix ram types (registered w/ unregistered).

Has anyone ever put unregistered ram in the 3rd and/or 4th slots on this board?
Has anyone ever mixed registered and unregistered ram on this board?
Were their any serious problems with either of these approaches?

I have also tried this and found the system will boot but will restart randomly with mixed memory. Also with just non-ecc, non-reg memory that in a dual processor mp will randomly reboot because of the chipset. This is what tyan support has told me about in the past.
