Two soundcards

Is it advisable to enable the onboard soundcard and have it and my Soundblaster Live! 7.1 24-bit?

Will this cause no amount of problems? The reason I will be doing it is to test something in MythTV.

What kind of testing? It shouldn't cause too many problems depending on what sound server it's using though, as you'll simply be able to specify which device to use for audio playback or recording with your various apps. Have seen it done accidentally when someone hadn't disabled on-board sound in the BIOS whilst using a PCI card and it didn't do any damage. Can always just disable it again if you do run into problems
