Two problems-ISDN connection?
I have two problems...I have an isdn connection at home, and one isdn card(Sitecom DC-105,Cologne chip,HSF PCI bus-HiSax) and isdn external modem PCBIT.
I tried to set up card,I've found some instructions on the net,on the chip producer site, but I still can't set it up.In kppp I set up,that my isdn card is on ttyI0,I did query,it worked, but then when I tried to dial, kppp said that there is NO MSN/EAZ,then in modem command I've put AT&E<my phone number>,but then when I try to connect, kppp said that there is no dial tone.So can anyone help me with this,is there any other way to set up isdn card on linux, anything please?
The second problem is,when I saw that it is hard to set up isdn card,I took my old isdn modem, connected it to ttyS0,did query, and all worked well.But...
when I tried to connect on the net using kppp on VectorLinux with 2.4.29 kernel the connection was too slow.I read kppp handbook, but those information for slow connection wasn't that helpful.Later,I downloaded kernel source 2.6.10,compiled(included PCBIT support in xconfig) but now I have the next problem>when I try to connect using kppp,it all worked untill I started dialing, then I would get message that there is a problem with pppd, and that I need to check if there is ppp in /usr/lib/2.6.10/net folder(there wasn't),to try with modprobe -v ppp(there wasn't) and the last that is not included while compiling kernel.
So if anybody knows solution for any of these two problems I would be grateful, really.Right now I dont have internet connection,so I have to do all from windows.
