Two HW problems, Wireless card & sound on laptop

OK. I am a complete newbie to Linux nad programming, but I want to learn, so I threw Mandrake 9.1 up on my notebook/laptop. I only have CD1 due to dial-up issues if it makes any difference.

I have manged to fiddle around and get everything working except my Proxim ORiNOCO 11 b/g wireless card and my Audio PCI sound card. I have tried looking for drivers or tricks or something, but as I've only been running Linux for two days I am most likely looking in all the wrong places. Can anyone help me here?

Well i think you don't need the 2 others Cds anyway
wireless cards drivers aren't available by default perhaps for the sound one because for me it detects early at installation my Sound Blaster SBLive...

Bah now you just have to surf to the devices constructors web islands to see if they offers linux support
Find their sites
And if you find nothing there
I suggest you to go to http://www.sourceforge.com
where all linux projets including wireless drivers are maintained
and developped

Hope this helps bye

Well, gateway doesnt have Linux drivers for anything and neither does Proxim. BTW, my Proxim card has a Prism2 chip if it makes any differance.
