Nothing. The screen is, by definition, rectangular, so it does have more display area above (you just can't access it). However, dual-head aware window managers should not put windows in the area you can't reach. The only real solution is to run both monitors at the same resolution.

not really.

when i download a file on the desktop, it always put it in the hidden area, confuse me in the first time, cant find the thing i download on the desktop.

What are you using? KDE? I don't know much about KDE, but you should be able to tell it where to put icons etc.

im using gnome.

resolution on both screen is correct, it(i dont know what) think the smaller monitor has 15" monitor's width and 19" monitor's length. the extra length * width doesnt display. icons and file i download to desktop always go into that area.
i hope you understand what im saying here.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. That's normal when you have monitors with different resolutions. You should be able to configure gnome not to put stuff in the top area, though I don't know how.

That would be the optimal solution, if you have the money to spare.

Or you could try that panning thing, which would give you a virtual vertical screen height on the 15" that you can scroll up and down (though personally I've never liked the virtual screen thing). Or have you tried that already, I can't remember?
