TV Tuner Card in Canada

Hi, I have just purchased a Hauppauge WinTV Go plus using the bt878 chip.

I am currently running the lastest Mandriva 2006 RC2, and I am unable to get the TV TUner card working.

in my /etc/modprobe.conf file it has options bttv tuner=2 card=10 gbuffers=4, which should all be correct. ( I even tried it wthout gbuffers)

When I open Kdetv or TV time it can not find the channels when I try to scan for them.

I went to the area to set up the TV Tuner card, and tried US-Cable using NTSC it would do a scan and then say nothing is found. I tried the Canada-Cable cause that's where I'm from. it did nothing.

I even down graded to 10.1 POwerpack and the same thing happened as well.
The card works fine under WinXP, I even tried installing the Windows Drivers and Software for it using Cross over but when I went to run the program it could not find the device even though everything was installed.

Can someone help me set it up in Mandriva 2006 for Canadian cable usage?

Thanks

Mike

Hey, I just figured it out tonight. I added the following lines in /etc/modprobe.conf

options bt878 card= tuner=50 gbuffers=4
options bttv radio=0 card=10 tuner=50 gbuffers=4

I restarted Mandriva 2006 and then launched KDETv and scanned for US-Cable with NTSC and it found all of my channels.
