TV Card _fully_ Supported Under Linux, Looking for one..
 

That's it, I'm looking for a TV card (PCI), cheap, that fully works under Linux.

Conceptronic CTVFMi seems not to work.

Don't know about Pinnacle PCTV or hauppauge. Leadtek WinTV 2000? Any comments?

Maximum budget should be 100€ ($100), including remote control. By the way, USB or PCI?

Using SuSE 9.1..

Linux seldom cares about brands and model numbers. go to a shop. find a card based on the Brooktree 878 chipset. buy it. this chip use on most of the tv cards out there (albeit decreasingly nowadays). you'll be fine, it will use the bttv driver which will already be art of your stock install.

Hauppauge WinTV GO costs about $50 and Streamzap costs $30. If you do not mind spending a little more, there is Hauppauge PVR-250. IMO, buying a card with remote, fm, and capture may not all work in Linux. I'm thinking of buying Hauppauge PVR-250MCE. It does not have a remote feature but I can buy one or make one later.

cards which will indicate those cards compatible with linux. then choose your choice! at least u will find & know they should work before hand.

gr4; also check with each mfg of card & inquire them if their product is supported by linux or they support linux. direct quote from them would be valuable. ???
