TV capture card

Hey all,

I'm pretty keen on this or maybe the next model down. I've wanted a TV tuner card for a while and I figure now is as good a time as any to pick one up. My concern is this is what's said on the site.
Quote:
Highly Cost Effective
Full SW solution with minimum HW support
Using Dvico's own HDTV decoder solution
Now, I'm obviously running linux (no dual-boot) so I won't be able to run their software. Does this mean that the bulk of the decoding is done by the bundled software and I'll have difficulties getting it to work with fftv or similar? I know I could do some research and shop around but I thought I'd ask because I've bought a reasonable amount of stuff from this place before, have a 10% discount there and they do same day shipping via Express post so if I were to purchase it first thing monday morning I'd have it around 10am tuesday, I'd like it by wednesday night to record a football game but I'll live if I don't get it

At any rate, does it sound like the TV tuner version of a Winmodem? Any advice would be appreciated

well essentially it's based on a conexant chip, so the linux cx88 driver should be able to pick it up and go without too much problem.
