Tux Racer Requirments

Hi,
I was wondering if any body knew how to get tuxracer (Planet Penguin) to work non-choppily on a 1.8gzh AMD prossecor. I have a 64mb video card, and although it is generic, I doubt this is causing it. If anyone knows how I can reduce the demand on system resources, Id like to know.
Thanks

Few generic cards support 3d acceleration under linux.

To test if 3d acceleration is working, run the command 'glxgears' in xwindows.

If you don't have 3d acceleration, it should be under 500. If you do have 3d acceleration, it should be in the thousands.

Without 3d acceleration, tuxracer will be very slow/choppy, as all the gfx is handled in software instead of hardware

Thats the power of open source. I should try that at home.
