ttyshsfo trouble


i have red hat 9 and connexant hsfi modem.i downloaded driver from linuxxant & ran rpm .now problem is that rpm ran successfully and it says modem installed at /dev/ttyshsfo & wvdial confirms it too but network configuration in kde still doesn't detect my modem & moreover during manual setting of modem too there are options ttys1 etc. but no option for ttyshsfo due which i am not able to install modem
