Trying to get webcam working under Centos
I'm running Centos Linux, kernel 2.6.20.4.
Best I can tell, support for my webcam is built into the kernel. I picked up a Creative Live! Cam Vista IM 'cuz it was free after rebate.
When plugged in, it shows under /proc/bus/usb/devices:

But I can't get it to work with any app.
Gnome Video Conferencing comes with this distribution and it doesn't see the webcam. I just installed camstream and it doesn't see any cameras, either.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure what else to try here.
