My last guess was that he wants to know how come he used to be able to burn on the fly at a decent speed on current hardware and is no longer able to do so. He seems to prefer shouting at me (possibly with enthusiasm, but it looks angry) instead of rephrasing his question to get a better response, due, it seems, to a dislike of keyboards.

Some attempt has been made to help anyway, but I seem to have missed chilibowls feedback on those attempts. We are trying to help you chili - we need the feedback.

For example:

Did you repair the file system?
Did you recreate the swap file?
Have you checked your HW for physical defects?
