troubles installing video drivers

Hello everybody!
I downloaded the sources for the MXIC86251+3dfx VooDoo Rush video card drivers and compiled them using linkkit and obtained the XF86_SVGA server. How can i tell the S.O. what server to use?
I use Mandrake 9.0.
Thank you!
