i have the audio out on the TV card going to Line IN on my sound card(cmpci). Everything works but the audio signal from the TV card has static on it even when I mix the Line in on my soundcard to 0. I've had this same setup working before on the same machine with Slack9's 2.4.20. Not sure how to proceed.

so just to clarify. I've discovered that the problem is that
I can't mix the TV audio all the way out, there is no static where there souldn't be. So this could be the soundcard.
i'm using aumix to control /dev/mixer if that matters at all.
