trouble mounting ntfs filesystem


Im running Fedora Core 5 on x86_64, and i need to mount ntfs on /dev/hdb1 but it gives me a unknown filesystem error. i went to linux-ntfs.org downloaded and installed rpmś for the tools and utilities, but STILL cant get mount my backup hard disk...
Any help will be appreciated,

mount -t ntfs /dev/hdb1 /mnt/drive-c
(from root)
