Trouble installing linux
 
Hi i've got an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ running on ATI X200 chipset on a RS480M2-IL. It has 512 Mb 400 mhz ram. Also a SONY DVD writer . HDD =Seagate 160 GB SATA. But When I try to install any Linux distros they are not getting installed. Only SUSE gave a warning message that I was trying to install 32 bit software on 64 bit system .All distros didnt detect my DVD drive after loading the kernel into memory. Pls help me

That's right. You're running a 32 bit distro on a 64 bit system. Get a 64 bit distro by downloading the x86_64 or amd64 iso file.
