Trouble aligning heads on HP 3820 inkjet
I've been using Ubuntu for a couple months now, and I've had fairly good luck getting most of my systems running Googling around. Two things are still plagueing me:
1) My Logitech Thunderpad joystick via Sound Blaster gameport (which I'll save for another time to keep this thread focused)
2) Accessing the configuration settings on my HP3820:
I've got HPLIP installed, but when I run it it says 'No installed HP devices found. To install a device, use CUPS web interface, or the printer installation utility that came with your operating system.
CUPS has my HP registered as
DeskJet-3820 HP DeskJet 3820 Foomatic/hpijs (recommended)
Description: DeskJet-3820
Location:
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs.
Device URI: usb://HP/DeskJet%203820?serial=CN2AQ1N5HW18
Any ideas? The printer handles jobs correctly, but the heads need to be aligned and I'd hate to have to ever boot into *gasp* windows again to do it.
Thanks,
Ethan
