TRENDnet TFM-560U (56K USB Modem)

Does anyone know if this modem will work with Linux?

I don't see it listed in the LQ HCL or TRENDnet's Linux page. I know the 560X is supposed to work but the guy that's offering this modem to me only has a 560U - and I don't wanna buy it if it's gonna be a Linux paperweight.

TRENDnet TFM-560U (56K USB Modem)

We are using 2 of this modem at work for few months now. It's pluged on an ubuntu 10 workstation. They are automatically detected and installed on /dev/tty.ACM0 and /dev/tty.ACM1 and so on.

The second modem is working perfect but the first one hangs almost once every 3 days. We then have to power off and then on the workstation to get it working again.

We don't know if this is from the modem itself or from hylafax daemon.

Someone over there has already met this problem?

Regards.
