trackpad setup for clicking under linux

Hi, I've got a powermac g3 1998 that im using with yellowdog linux. I had the trackpad clicking fine under the graphical install of yellowdog, however when i rebooted into KDE after install it was back to the button for clicking. howe can i change this as it obviously does support my trackpad for clicking and i dont want to wear out my button, not to mention it's easier to tap the pad then the button.
Thanks in advance for any help you guysa give, you have all been so helpful and great so far

Pete
