touchpad mouse scrolling problems

So I'm running suse10.1 on a sony vaio pcgv505ex laptop and no matter what I do I cannot get the touchpad not to scroll. It is rather annoying when you try to move your mouse and it is stuck in scroll mode. I have never had this happen before. I've tried using yast and sax2 to setup my mouse but there is nothing to do other than disable scrollwheel which I have done. I have even tried switching drivers from touchpad to regular ps/2 mouse and that wasn't a help either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Install Ksynaptics then go into KDE control center, search for KSYNAPTICS and you should see how to disable the scrolling.

Good Luck
