Toshiba Satellite Trouble

Hi everyone I just installed Linux on my Toshiba Satellite a-105 S4254 and I am having some trouble with the sound on it.

I do have audio, but it is incredibly distorted. I don't know anything about how to edit code or anything like that at all so I was wondering if some one could please tell a newbie like me how to fix this problem.

Thanks

I also have the same problem.

I actually solved the problem. It turns out that Mandriva One sets the Line volume close to its maximum, and if one does not have a microphone plugged in the sound becomes distorted. I muted it and the problem was solved. The sound is crystal clear now.
