toshiba s-video outlet not working

Hi, I have a Toshiba A45-S150, that has an Intel 852GME integrated graphics controller with 32mb ddr sdram (uma). It has an s-video outlet that doesn't seem to work without completely crashing the video to where I have to reboot. Has anyone had this problem?
