Question Toshiba Laptop touchpad problem

Recently installed Mandrake Linux 9.2, on dual boot with WinXP. Was trying to play to install USB mouse, but did not recognize it problemly, so wanted to rollback to my good old PS/2 mouse configuration. I was unsuccessful to reconfigure it to work as it was working before. Need help in this matter.
Thanks in advance for all the suggestions.

That's the relevant part of my xfree configuration file:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Serial Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "Microsoft"
Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS0"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
Option "Emulate3Timeout" "100"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "PS/2 Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "auto"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
Option "Emulate3Timeout" "100"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "USB Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Buttons" "5"
EndSection

It's from a knoppix install and not very nice but the touchpad and the usb mouse work fine with it on my toshiba.
