toshiba estudio 167 scanning Mandriva 2009.1


we have installed a new Toshiba estudio 167. the CUPS part and printing works fine with both USB and network interface..

but i can't get xsane to work with it. i have installed driver from wordcraft
but to no use..

if anyone know how to use this in Mandriva 2009.1 kindly give me directions.

What does the cli command, as root, show?

sane-find-scanner

What does scanimage -Lshow also?

i have posted the results for both commands. i have connected USB for sane. but nothing happens...

the Toshiba guys said that they can give a network scanning option kit if i want at a cost....

The attachment is not showing the drivers not installed for the scanner.

I assume you did this part of the instructions?

MFP is a MULTI FUNCTION PRINTER.

Toshiba e167 does not ship with Linux drivers.
i got a ppd file for the nw printer from google. it worked as for the USB connection Mandriva automatically detected it as soon as i plugged it.

The scanner does not have a nw option only USB.

so i tried installing drivers from wordcraft. but no use.

now i want to know if there is any driver available for scanning for the e167??
